Developed in close partnership with researchers from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and with COPD experts from the Mount Sinai – National Jewish Health Respiratory Institute, COPD Navigator harnesses the power of mHealth (mobile health) technology and big data analysis to provide COPD patients with an engaging, interactive coach in their pocket. A patient’s doctor specifies the app’s settings and communications. During the pilot program, physicians at The Respiratory Institute will work with patients who use the COPD Navigator iPhone app with the goal of improving their self-management of COPD.

New Research from DoubleDutch Shows that Event App Adoption Has Reached the Tipping Point

SAN FRANCISCO — Aug. 4, 2014 — Mobile event technology leader DoubleDutch today announced the early results of its new research on the proliferation and use of mobile technology in the meeting and event industry. Conducted in partnership with Meeting Professionals International (MPI), the research found that 63 percent of meeting and event planners are already using mobile applications for their events, and 60 percent of the remainder plan to use an app in the near future.
