Indie Developer Spearhead Games Teases Next Project

Opens Development to the Community for Upcoming Physics-based Competitive Game

MONTREAL – March 5, 2014 – Spearhead Games, the Montreal-based indie developer who brought co-op gamers the quirky puzzler Tiny Brains, has revealed the studio’s next project: a competitive physics-based video game for PC and consoles. Expanding the studio’s “always playtesting” philosophy, Spearhead Games will open the entire development process up to the community for feedback through weekly Twitch shows airing Thursdays at 7 p.m. Eastern at twitch.tv/spearheadgames. To make the new project even more of a challenge, the slightly masochistic but mostly lovable co-founders, Malik Boukhira, Simon Darveau and Atul Mehra, have decided to build the game in three months.

“What we accomplished last year was insane,” said Simon Darveau, co-founder at Spearhead Games. “We built a studio and a game in one year. I went from sleeping on Malik’s couch to building an awesome couch co-op game, and in the process we learned way more than we could have imagined.”

He continued, “Taking our experimental findings from Tiny Brains, we decided we want to give the community even more influence in building this new game. Everything will be open. Everything will be tested. Everything will be up for comment. This is the future of video games as we see it. Why not start the future now?”

Spearhead will reveal more about its upcoming title tomorrow, Thursday, March 6 at 7 p.m. Eastern during its weekly Twitch show at twitch.tv/spearheadgames. FORCED Content Update and Connectivity Patch Released

BetaDwarf Releases New Last Man Standing Mode, Fix For Launch Issues

COPENHAGEN, Denmark – Nov. 12, 2013 – BetaDwarf Entertainment, an independent game studio formed by university students, today announced the release of the first content update for its newly-launched co-op action RPG, FORCED. The game, which saw strong early interest from indie gamers with over sixty thousand downloads within the launch window, now features a new survival-based mode, Last Man Standing. Additionally, a patch to fix a number of issues some players encountered at launch, including connectivity problems and other minor bugs, has been released.
