BOXED.GG experienced explosive year-over-year growth and today boasts over 200,000 registered users who have opened more than 30M boxes

SEATTLE – January 22, 2025 – Today, Loot Labs and its innovative collectibles platform, BOXED.GG, announced a partnership with shroud, one of Twitch’s most prolific streamers, to sponsor the month-long Fragathon fundraising event. On January 31, shroud will open a huge amount of physical and digital Magic: The Gathering and Pokémon card packs courtesy of BOXED.GG. Pack rarity and value will dramatically increase as the stream progresses until shroud is opening vintage boxes from fan-favorite sets that are highly sought after by collectors, with many of the cards given to his viewers. Highly valuable cards pulled during the stream will be reviewed by an on-site PSA representative and sent to PSA’s HQ to be graded.

shroud’s Fragathon fundraiser kicked off on January 4th and has already raised more than $250,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Today, BOXED and shroud are expanding the Fragathon’s footprint with a special event on BOXED.GG, empowering its community to raise additional money for its charitable cause. By opening boxes, participating in box battles, engaging on social media, and so much more, BOXED’s users will push the Frag Counter higher, resulting in more donations. Additionally, users can donate directly to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through this Tiltify link

“shroud is a beloved esports legend and industry icon who many of us on the BOXED team have cheered for and followed for years. This Fragathon is personal for shroud; we’re honored to sponsor him and his cause in a meaningful way with our shared passion for collectibles,” said Loot Labs CEO, Milan Harris. “None of this would be possible if it wasn’t for the support of our BOXED community. In the last year our platform’s metrics have more than tripled across the board, and we’re thrilled our community has empowered us to give back and support this important cause.”

BOXED.GG experienced explosive growth in 2024, exponentially increasing its registered users, monthly active users, and boxes opened by more than 300% year-over-year. Collectors have gravitated toward BOXED’s tailored pack offerings and intuitive user experience, establishing it as a legitimate marketplace for physical and digital collectors.

Launched in mid-2023, today BOXED.GG boasts more than:

  • 200,000+ registered users
  • 30M+ boxes opened
  • 100,000+ physical cards shipped to collectors
  • 3.5M+ user-created Forge Boxes opened since its launch in October, giving many tens of thousands of dollars in value back to BOXED’s creator community
  • 65,000+ Discord members

Today, Loot Labs also announced its partnership with PSA, empowering users to grade their cards pulled on BOXED.GG through PSA’s industry-leading grading service. The partnership affords BOXED users $25 off the first time they grade their cards through PSA.
