Company set to create 100+ additional jobs across multiple disciplines of game creation and quality assurance
São Paulo, Brazil – May 27, 2025 – Award-winning gaming services provider Side has officially opened the doors to its new studio location in São Paulo, Brazil. Located in the heart of Butantã, the state-of-the-art space will allow Side to more than double its operational workforce in South America over the next 12 months, providing more viable pathways for Brazilians looking to start or grow their careers in the technology or video game industries.
“When we arrived in São Paulo, it was always our plan to enter the market and grow aggressively – that’s just in our company DNA,” said Deborah Kirkham, CEO of Side. “With 50% year-over-year growth, it’s safe to say we achieved that and then some. Side is now one of the largest full-service gaming services companies on the continent, and we have no plans of slowing down anytime soon.”
Side arrived in the city in 2024 with the aim of growing the team from under ten to over two hundred. Now in 2025, the São Paulo studio has generated impressive demand from high-profile clients, requiring new premises to sustain its meteoric rise and creating excellent career growth opportunities along the way. An extensive recruitment drive over the coming months will see at least 100 jobs created in São Paulo across the QA (quality assurance), art and co-development services. While these are currently the key offerings of Side São Paulo, the company has big plans to expand its local talent pool and bring additional Side services to the studio.
“The only way a studio achieves the kind of success we’ve had in the short time we’ve been in São Paulo happens when you recruit hyper motivated and qualified talent,” said Sébastien Bisch, Side’s VP of Regional Operations for the Americas. “In fact, we’ve already finalized plans to lease another floor in our new building – doubling us again in size – because of how much potential we see. The clients are here, the talent is here, and the growth for Side is definitely here.”
The year ahead promises significant development for the Side São Paulo team beyond headcount growth. The company recently partnered with leading global gaming lifestyle brand, Razer, to build advanced tools for QA testing – a specialized service offered by Side worldwide. While still in development, the partnership will allow teams at Side and Razer to explore new methods of QA automation, improving efficiencies and lowering time to market for end users.
