Manhattan Beach, CA — March 5, 2026 — Pearl Abyss announced that Black Desert on Console and Black Desert Mobile are receiving significant updates this week, including limited-time Free Play events on console and a major content expansion on mobile. Console Adventurers can jump in at no cost as part of the ongoing anniversary celebrations, while mobile Adventurers gain access to the newly released region of O’dyllita, bringing fresh storylines, powerful new gear, and challenging boss encounters.

Black Desert on Console – Free Play Days on PlayStation & XBOX
On PlayStation, players can access the game free of charge now through March 8. Adventurers can play the game for free by purchasing the Standard Edition for free and the PlayStation Plus subscription is not required. Players can experience the full world of Black Desert, take part in anniversary events, and enroll in the newly updated Olvia Academy progression content, making it the perfect opportunity for new and returning players to begin their journey.
On Xbox, Free Play begins March 5 and runs through March 9. During the event period, players can enjoy the game at no cost. Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, or Essential subscribers may acquire the Standard Edition for free access during the event window. To continue playing after the event concludes, a game access package must be purchased.
Black Desert Mobile – New region: O’dyllita & Kharazad Accessory
New region: O’dyllita
Black Desert Mobile expands with the long-awaited arrival of O’dyllita, a vast new open-world region requiring 85,000 CP to enter. O’dyllita does not require exploration consumables such as Purified Water, Citron Tea, or Clockwork, allowing uninterrupted exploration. Players can defeat new monsters throughout the region to obtain valuable rewards, including the powerful new Kharazad Accessories.
Kharazad Accessory
Kharazad Accessories debut as a new highest tier surpassing Eternal Accessories in power. These top-tier items cannot be crafted and are obtainable only from hunting zones with 105,000 CP or higher or at a low chance from Dark Fissure Bosses.
Dark Fissures – A New Weekly Boss Encounter
The curse of Ancient Darkness manifests as Dark Fissures across O’dyllita every Saturday from 21:30 to 22:10. Six sequential bosses emerge across the region. The more bosses Adventurers defeat, the greater the rewards they can earn upon defeating Kzarka, Ancient God of Hope, who emerges at 21:50. Following Kzarka’s defeat, a special area known as the Corrupted Lands appears within O’dyllita. Adventurers who defeat monsters in the Corrupted Lands can earn additional rewards and receive a special buff effect that lasts for seven days within O’dyllita.
