Content update also allows players to add three original game characters as sync pairs
TOKYO—July 30, 2021—DeNA Co., Ltd., in partnership with The Pokémon Company, has announced that the final chapter of the Pokémon Masters League story arc has been added to the Main Story mode in Pokémon Masters EX. The storyline, which has been unfolding since the game’s launch in August 2019, culminates with Chapter 30 “The Road to Victory”, in which the player’s Main Character faces off against the formidable team of Red & Charizard, Blue & Blastoise, and Leaf & Venusaur in the Pokémon Masters League Finals. While the story arc for the Pokémon Masters League has concluded, players can stay tuned for future updates.
Pokémon Masters EX initially launched with 18 chapters in the Main Story, with new chapters added regularly. The story takes place on the island of Pasio, where the rules of battle are different and the treasured bond between Trainer and Pokémon is taken to the next level with the concept of “sync pairs”.
The player’s Main Character adventures through Pasio meeting Trainers from every region of the Pokémon world and battling to earn the five Pokémon Masters League badges (Tranquility, Freedom, Patience, Harmony, and Pride) in order to compete in the Pokémon Masters League. The narrative components of the Main Story can be played in single player mode while some Main Story-specific battles can be played in co-op mode.
