REYKJAVÍK, Iceland – May 27, 2025 – Today, CCP Games launched EVE Online: Legion, the newest expansion for the iconic sci-fi MMO EVE Online. The Legion expansion introduces new systems and tools that let capsuleers define their own role in New Eden. From player-created Freelance Jobs that connect individuals to the broader war machine, to powerful warships and nullsec upgrades that shift the balance of power, Legion offers new ways to lead, earn, and fight – regardless of experience or allegiance.
To mark the launch of EVE Online: Legion, all capsuleers can claim 7 days of Omega for just 10 PLEX in the New Eden Store. Two new Legion-themedpacks are also available on the EVE Store: one for rookies diving into Freelance Jobs and PvP, and another for veterans ready to command new warships and dominate nullsec.

EVE Online: Legion gives capsuleers fresh agency in a fractured galaxy, where shifting alliances and rising tensions demand new forms of leadership, loyalty, and ambition. Whether flying solo or commanding an empire, players can pursue purpose through action on the battlefield, in corporate operations, or by reshaping sovereign space. To support this, the Legion expansion introduces:
Freelance Jobs: Freelance Jobs let capsuleers of any experience accept structured, player-created missions from player-run corporations – spanning combat, mining, defense, and more activities in the future. Corporations can post up to 100 jobs to fulfil their objectives and scale up fast: a powerful way to recruit, grow stronger, and rally pilots around shared goals. Freelancers can take on up to three jobs at a time, giving them the freedom to contribute on their own terms. From day one, they can earn ISK, build reputation, and step into the player-driven conflicts that have shaped New Eden for over 20 years.
New Warships: Two powerful vessels enter the field to reshape the battlefield. The Angel Cartel’s Sarathiel is a heavy-hitting dreadnought with massive bonuses to projectile weapons and flexible fitting options. Uniquely, it can jump across the battlefield even while locked in siege mode, a game-changing ability that lets it hit hard and then reposition instantly. The Triglavian Babaroga, a Tech II marauder, is a powerful new tool to dominate with precision and resilience. Its beam-style disintegrator weapon ramps up damage the longer it stays on target, and when deployed in bastion mode, it becomes tougher and more deadly at range, perfect for those who want to pick apart enemies with brutal efficiency.
Sovereignty Upgrades: Nullsec, player-controlled space at the edge of New Eden, gains new strategic layers with three upgrade categories for sovereign systems. Players can convert power into workforce, boost system-wide combat and scanning performance, and explore revamped sites featuring new storyline modules and exciting escalation potential with richer rewards. A new one-click feature also lets corps instantly claim all skyhooks in captured systems, accelerating territorial control and operations.
Corporation Identity: Capsuleers can now represent their corporations with a unified visual identity using the new Corporation Palette, selecting up to three custom colors (across full RGB and HEX ranges) that will initially display across Freelance Jobs and later killmarks, map visuals, and more.
Refit & Rebalance: Fleet meta shifts with buffs to logistics, strategic cruisers, pirate dreads, and capital fighters. Tech I cruisers like the Thorax and Rupture gain new roles, doomsdays hit harder, and overheated remote reps heal more, giving commanders sharper tactical tools across the board. On top of that, universal resistance module buffs set the stage for sweeping changes across ship fitting and survivability.
Visual & Navigation Upgrades: Fleet meta shifts with buffs to logistics, strategic cruisers, pirate dreads, and capital fighters.
