# LET IT DIE: INFERNO Season 2 Begins March 10; Original LET IT DIE Enters Final Chapter with an Offline Version to Follow

*Season 2 introduces new PvE modes, enemies, and weapons, while the original 2016 release shifts to an offline version in Fall 2026.*

**Tokyo, Japan – March 4, 2026 –** Today, [GungHo Online Entertainment](https://gunghoonline.com/) (GOE) revealed that [***LET IT DIE: INFERNO***](https://lid-inferno.com/en/) Season 2 launches March 10 at 12 a.m. PT, introducing new PvE modes, weapons, enemies, and system updates to the rogue-lite survival action title.

GOE also confirmed that the original [***LET IT DIE***](http://www.letitdiethegame.com/) (2016)*, *the cult-hit survival action game that drew millions of players globally, will sunset its online services later this year. Servers will shut down on August 31, and an offline version will be available in Fall 2026.

Watch the *LET IT DIE *Offline and *LET IT DIE: INFERNO* Season 2 trailer [here](https://youtu.be/8qnrl6cN9SE).

***LET IT DIE: INFERNO *Season 2**Season 2 expands how players survive (and die) inside Hell Gate.

- **New Modes, Same Brutality: **Season 2 introduces two new ways to descend into Hell Gate. In **Solo Mode (PvE)**, players can venture in alone to test their mettle against the Yuckies, while** Duo Mode (PvE with a friend)** allows Raiders to team up and fight side-by-side. And for those who think they already know every corner of Hell Gate, think again. Enemy placements across the map have shifted, creating fresh challenges around every turn.
- **Brutal New Weapons: **Season 2 introduces three additions to your arsenal. **Shield:** A guard-focused weapon with a hidden feature. When held with both hands, its guard type changes from High to Middle, allowing you to counterattack enemies you normally wouldn’t be able to.
- **Vampiric Tree: **A weapon that delivers a heavy single attack normally, as well as a charged spinning double strike. When used to deal a deathblow, it inflicts “Curse” in one hit, making it ideal for aggressive duo follow-ups (and slightly evil PvP players).
- **Dekotora**: A customized weapon built from a truck. Yes, a truck. It features a chargeable attack with three levels. Take out foes with a powerful deathblow, or slide in with “Hellish Drive” for a moving attack.

**New Items and Skins: **Season 2 brings tons of new ways to customize your Raider and base, with a new backpack, charms, interior, and emotes.

**Start Dash Event: **Players who defeat the final boss during the event period will receive exclusive cosmetic rewards.

**Lock-on Targeting: **Players can now lock on to enemies, keeping a selected target centered on screen during fast-paced fights.

**Additional features **include** **Elite enemies with glowing or flashing eyes, a new Mastery system, improved daily quests, and additional craft slots.

***LET IT DIE *Sunsetting and Offline**After years of tower climbs, brutal boss fights, and millions of deaths (and rebirths), the original *LET IT DIE* transitions to an offline version. What, did you think we were just going to let it die?

- **What Changes in Offline: **Moving to an offline version ensures players can continue playing *LET IT DIE* permanently with no risk of losing access due to server shutdowns. Key differences in the version include: No server maintenance or online dependency
- No microtransactions
- Death Metal will be discontinued Beginning today, players can participate in a Death Metal event to use the currency before the Offline version. The “Continue” system will remain in Offline, but it will require Kill Coins instead of Death Metal.
- Core gameplay systems remain intact and are now fully supported by Kill Coins.

To celebrate this new era of* LET IT DIE*, new Armors will be available for your favorite characters, including Momoko Yamada, Kiwako Seto, and Meijin.

You can review additional changes [here](https://www.letitdiethegame.com/news.html#/7524/).
