Former Glu Mobile CCO to Further Drive Mobile Strategy as EVP of Product Development

LOS ANGELES – May 4, 2012 – Atari, one of the world’s most recognized publishers and developers of interactive entertainment, today announced it has hired Giancarlo Mori as Executive Vice President of Product Development. Mori comes to Atari with over 20 years of games industry experience, most recently serving as the Chief Creative Officer at Glu Mobile, where he spearheaded the company’s recent successful strategy shift from a premium to freemium model. As EVP of Product Development, Mori will drive the company’s mobile monetization, development and distribution strategy while expanding internal development capabilities and building a portfolio of new games based on its core IP.

In addition to his time at Glu Mobile, Mori has held senior positions with several top games companies and has been responsible for leading the development of titles in some of the world’s most popular franchises. At Activision, Mori served as Vice President of Production, where he worked on the Tony Hawk series, Gun (recognized as the best-selling new intellectual property of 2005), and high-profile releases in partnership with Dreamworks Animation. Prior to his time at Activision, Mori worked at Electronic Arts Canada, where he managed development of the FIFA franchise, and at Microsoft Games Studios and the Xbox Applications Group. Mori has also provided creative and product consulting services to award-winning special FX and digital film studio, Animal Logic.
