NEXON Partners with Chukong/CocoaChina to Publish Mobile Version of Dungeon & Fighter in Greater China Region

BEIJING – Oct. 17, 2012 – Leading international mobile game company, Chukong/CocoaChina, today announced that it has formed a partnership with NEXON Co. Ltd, a pioneer in the world of interactive entertainment, to develop and publish a mobile version of its worldwide hit downloadable game, Dungeon & Fighter, also known as Dungeon Fighter Online to gamers in the West. When ready, Chukong/CocoaChina will publish the game across its platform in China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan.

Originally released in 2009, Dungeon & Fighter is a side-scrolling, hack-and-slash game that has amassed over 300 million registered players worldwide. As players fight their way through dungeons, they encounter hoards of enemies and epic boss battles. PvP combat is also available, along with party play and the ability for veteran players to mentor junior (apprentice) players.

Dungeon & Fighter’s significance was acknowledged by Nexon in several of its earning calls that this game’s popularity was often the driving force behind the company’s massive revenues. The game was originally released in Korea as Dungeon & Fighter and in Japan as Arad Senki, before gaining success in the U.S. as Dungeon Fighter Online. In China, the PC version of Dungeon & Fighter was licensed and published by Tencent.
