High-Comfort EEG-Empowered Headset Strives to Help Users Optimize Their Sleep
LONDON – May 26, 2015 – Kokoon Technology today raised over $400,000 for its first consumer product, a pair of ergonomic headphones that use medical-grade EEG technology to actively improve the wearer’s rest. Designed as the ultimate sleep companion, Kokoon headphones combine cutting edge comfort tech with medical-grade reactive sleep sensors, and have partnered with Onkyo and Pioneer Corporation to guarantee the highest quality of sound. The headphones are now available for pre-order on Kickstarter.
To celebrate their funding success, Kokoon has added a stretch goal to the campaign. When they hit $500K they will offer the headsets in two new color schemes, chosen by their community of backers.
“Our first priority is to make the best product that we can, and to get it in our backers’ hands on schedule,” said Kokoon founder Tim Antos. “We’ve seen too many successfully-funded campaigns try to add flashy new features, and nine times out of ten they go to market two years late, if at all. We want our backers to know that we respect their time and their commitment too much to let unrealistic stretch goals distract us from delivering what we promised.”
Kokoon headphones’ noise isolation system uses the top three techniques for ambient noise reduction: noise isolation, active noise cancellation, and Kokoon’s proprietary active white noise system. To maximize comfort during rest, Kokoon features patented FlexMould technology with the slimmest profile and over-ear cups soft and as malleable as pillows.
