Anoto Appoints Bryan Rodrigues as VP of Global Marketing



LUND, Sweden – December 16, 2015 Anoto Group AB today announced that it has appointed Bryan Rodrigues as Vice President of Global Marketing. Rodrigues brings over 20 years of consumer and technology marketing experience, including more than three years as VP Marketing & Ecommerce at Livescribe Inc., a long-time Anoto licensee that the company recently acquired.

“Bryan has an excellent track record, including his work as the marketing lead for the award-winning Livescribe 3 smartpen, consulting with McKenna, and big brand experiences at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Nike and Reebok,” said Anoto CEO, Stein Revelsby. “He was core to Livescribe’s success in penetrating consumer markets with its smartpen technology, and will be a strong member of Anoto’s leadership as we expand our portfolio of multi-surface precision writing and drawing solutions.”

The appointment comes on the heels of Anoto’s acquisition of Livescribe and the departure of former Chief Marketing Officer Byron Connell. Revelsby states, “Anoto and Livescribe’s executive teams are coming together, paving the way for aggressive growth in 2016. While we regret to see Byron go, we wish him the best of luck with his future endeavors with consumer tech startups.”

As part of Livescribe’s executive management team, Rodrigues led the company’s marketing, ecommerce and customer support organizations. Rodrigues additionally oversaw a number of key global product launches, including the award-winning Livescribe 3 smartpen. Prior to Livescribe, Rodrigues founded Sundae Media, advising clients in the education technology and kids gaming space on product development, sales and marketing strategies. Before Sundae, Rodrigues managed Houghton Mifflin Harcourt’s stable of consumer software brands including the Oregon Trail and Carmen Sandiego. Additional experience includes time in Strategic Consulting with fabled Silicon Valley consultancy, the McKenna Group, where he worked with a variety of B2B and B2C technology companies to identify and execute growth strategies. Rodrigues has also held product and marketing leadership positions in Asia with sportswear giants Nike and Reebok.

Rodrigues received a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia and a Master of Business Administration from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.
