Manhattan Beach, CA — June 12, 2026 — Pearl Abyss today announced “Beyond the Abyss: Community Challenge,” a global video contest inviting players worldwide to share their most memorable moments in Pywel. The announcement celebrates a community that, since launch, has filled social and community channels with creative, surprising, and downright spectacular clips of their adventures across Crimson Desert‘s open world.

These figures underscore Crimson Desert‘s standing as a creator-driven phenomenon. According to live-streaming analytics firm Streams Charts, Crimson Desert generated 27.1 million hours watched in its launch week alone, ranking as the third most-watched game on Twitch during that period, behind only long-established, esports-driven titles, and standing as one of the biggest new releases of 2026 on the platform. That a brand-new, single-player-focused IP has commanded this level of creator and viewer attention reflects the depth and shareability of the world of Pywel.
To channel that energy, “Beyond the Abyss: Community Challenge” invites players to capture their best moments through a video of their own creation, with the theme left entirely to each entrant: whether exploration, combat, non-combat life activities, the Abyss, character customization, or something completely unexpected. The Crimson Desert studio will review all submissions and select the winners, who will receive a range of rewards headlined by a grand prize: a trip to Pearl Abyss’ headquarters in Korea, with airfare and accommodation covered.
