INFERNO Season 4 reshapes Hell Gate with 21 maps and shifts fully to PvE, while the original 2016 cult hit lives on with an offline version.
Tokyo, Japan – Sept 1, 2026 – Today, GungHo Online Entertainment (GOE) announced that LET IT DIE: INFERNO Season 4 begins September 8 and runs through December 7, 2026. Themed around “Hell Gate’s Great Tectonic Shift,” Season 4 marks a major change to a fully PvE-focused roguelite experience, removing PvEvP entirely while transforming Hell Gate with 21 brand-new maps, fresh foes, and weapons to combat them.
GOE also launched LET IT DIE’s Offline version, ensuring the original cult-hit survival action game that drew millions of players globally lives on forever (just like Uncle Death). Now that its online services have sunset, players can keep climbing the Tower of Barbs with no server dependency, no microtransactions, and a faster path to the top for $19.99. The offline version is available on Steam® and PlayStation®.

LET IT DIE: INFERNO Season 4 – Hell Gate’s Great Tectonic Shift
Hell Gate has undergone a massive transformation and awaits fresh (Raider) meat.
- The Road Ahead: Season 4 shifts the focus fully to PvE and removes PvEvP. For Raiders who want to fight the horrors of Hell Gate side-by-side, Duo Mode is available for online play.
- A Transformed Hell Gate: Season 4 introduces 21 maps, from an arcade chock-full of mushrooms and Japanese hot springs to a festival, shopping street, and parking structure. Players can choose their maps based on Body Rank, and after beating Berserk Mironette, an additional map becomes available.
- New Enemies: Grotesque horrors wander the maps, spanning the Riff type and the Rider type. The Gomamusha boss fight gains a challenging third and final phase.
- Brutal Weapons: Two additions join the arsenal:
- Chela: A summoning artifact that calls forth the claw of a giant crab that lives in the Demon Realm. Its crushing grip can pulverize towering trees and pull down colossal giants.
- Chemical Popper: A ranged weapon that fires potent, corrosive acid. It smells faintly of summer, but don’t be fooled. Get too close, and it will dissolve everything you hold dear.
- LET IT STYLE: To celebrate the launch of LET IT DIE Offline, LID-themed armors arrive in INFERNO, including the Bare ‘n Wild Gear Set for fans of… ahem… minimalist attire, the Direct Hell Gear Set (Kiwako’s armor), and the Meijin Gear Set.
- EAG Armors: Season 4 also adds the EAG armors from Arena, featuring the TaZmanian, Chicken, Shine, Crocodile, and Alpaca Heads, plus the Shin Gear Set, a blue tracksuit.
- Mastery Switches: Joe and Inva receive Mastery Switches. Joe can shift between All-rounder and Technician, while Inva can shift between Technician and Attacker.
- Other Features:
- Matchmaking now displays how many players are waiting for Arena and Clan matches.
- Rarity 4 craft materials are now available with expanded crafting options.
- The “Stopper” gimmick blocks all passage (even for enemies) in various locations.
- Seven additional charms and two emotes are available.
(Never) LET IT DIE – Offline Mode Available Now
