IGN and Best Buy Team Up Across the Site, the Store and the Screen: Best Buy Gamers Launches in beta Today

LOS ANGELES and MINNEAPOLIS – Oct. 20, 2026 – Today, Best Buy launched Best Buy Gamers in beta, a new online destination for gamers powered by IGN’s editorial coverage. This joint partnership puts IGN’s reviews, features, and exclusive content on bestbuy.com/gamers and will include IGN on-site activation at Best Buy store events, Best Buy integration with IGN’s site, and more. This holiday season, gamers can find content running from a Nov. 5 Ocarina of Time late-night launch to the grand opening of an in-store gaming experience coming to Best Buy in November.

In an ever-changing media and retail landscape, the bridge between the two is closer than ever. This partnership lets retail and media go hand in hand, with editorial and purchasing power in the same spaces, so audiences can make more informed decisions no matter where they choose to buy or read.

“Retail and media are moving toward each other, and this partnership is what that looks like when two leaders build it on purpose,” said Kim Hatfield, SVP of Sales and Integrated Marketing at IGN. “Gamers come to IGN to find out what’s worth playing. As the way people discover things keeps changing, partnering with Best Buy was a natural fit and brings our coverage closer to where people get their games and gear.”

“Gamers invest a lot of time and thought in their games and devices—from watching the latest gaming trailers to reading new reviews,” said Marty Senn, chief marketing officer at Best Buy. “IGN has long been a go-to destination for gaming news, making them a natural partner as we launch Best Buy Gamers and build an experience that helps gamers stay connected to the games, trends and content they love.”

For gamers, Best Buy Gamers is one place to keep up with what’s coming and what’s worth playing. Visitors can create a profile, vote in polls, watch the latest trailers, enter sweepstakes, find Best Buy store events near them, and pre-order upcoming releases, alongside IGN reviews with scores, features, and news across video games, trading cards, and gaming movies.

The IGN reviews and scores featured on Best Buy Gamers are IGN’s own editorial coverage, produced independently by IGN’s editorial team and presented as published on IGN.com.
