Dig deep and die trying in GungHo Online Entertainment’s rogue-lite survival sequel

Tokyo, Japan – December 4, 2025 – Step right down to the depths of Hell! GungHo Online Entertainment and SUPERTRICK GAMES today launched their rogue-lite survival action game LET IT DIE: INFERNO on PC via Steam® and PlayStation®5. A direct sequel to the cult classic that drew in millions of players, LET IT DIE: INFERNO takes the series into a teeth-gritting new chapter. Players who are willing to risk (and often lose) life and limb can purchase the Standard Edition for $24.99 USD on Steam® or the PlayStation™Store.

Seeking the “Eye of the Reaper,” a legendary treasure that grants enough power to rule the world, players embark on a dark descent into Hell Gate. This vast, shifting chasm poses numerous challenges, ranging from strange hybrid creatures and enemy researchers to other players and even the passage of time itself.

Plenty of Time… To Die
Take on the role of an immortal explorer and member of a rebel group known as Raiders. In a race against the clock and the tyrannical Yotsuyama Group, Raiders can’t afford to take their sweet time in Hell Gate.

  • 15 Minutes to Win It: Uncle Death challenges players to plunge as deep as possible into Hell Gate, harvesting mysterious super-energy in a 15-minute timed trial. He’s not just giving you an arbitrary time limit; the world itself reincarnates and resets every time the clock runs out. Each reset presents new challenges and opportunities, with unforeseen gear, enemies, and arenas in each run.
  • Escape or Perish: Before time’s up, players have two options: collect enough SPLithium to buy their way to safety via an Escape Pod, or die. Yes, even immortality comes with fine print.
    • If you bite the dust, you’ll lose your physical body, the Core you’ve equipped, items and equipment from your backpack, and your Body Rank and exploration progress.
    • To keep all of your spelunking spoils, survive long enough to gather SPLithium from enemies and the environment. Strike first before you’re struck down!
  • Every Body Fights: Immortality still has its perks. Players can occupy and swap between different bodies as they fight (and die) within Hell Gate.
    • Each Body boasts unique traits, like high base attack power or increased carrying capacity. They can even be developed by completing the Mastery Tree, maximizing your Body’s abilities.
    • Don’t worry; Mastery effects carry over from corpse to Raider, so you can continue to build your tree and refine your playstyle as you reincarnate.
  • Tools of the Trade: Your physiology isn’t the only weapon at your disposal. Dual-wield your way through Hell Gate with separate left- and right-hand weapons, swapping them out or using both to break through enemies’ defenses.
    • Weapons and armor drops are randomized, so each run could offer a step closer to the perfect build.
    • Like Bodies, each weapon comes with distinct characteristics:
      • High-powered weapons deliver massive damage
      • Long-reach weapons strike from a distance
      • Control weapons throw enemies off their tracks
    • Use every part of your arsenal to cut down foes, plunge into danger, and live (or die) to tell another tale.
