Real-time PvP action game and new TCG expansion bring sweet treats for fans of the hugely popular CookieRun franchise
Seoul, South Korea – March 26, 2026 – Today, Devsisters announced two major launches for the CookieRun franchise with the global launch of the real-time PvP action game CookieRun: OvenSmash and the release of “A Game of Truth and Deceit,” the newest booster set for the CookieRun: Braverse Trading Card Game.
With more than 300 million cumulative players worldwide, the CookieRun franchise has grown into a global entertainment brand spanning multiple games, characters, and entertainment experiences. The two releases build upon that continued growth and grow the brand in powerful new ways: CookieRun: OvenSmash marks the franchise’s first real-time PvP action game, while “A Game of Truth and Deceit” pushes CookieRun: Braverse forward with a major expansion of cards, mechanics, and strategic depth.
CookieRun: OvenSmash: Available now for iOS and Android, CookieRun: OvenSmash is the franchise’s first real-time PvP battle action game, where players assemble teams of Cookies and compete against other players in quick, real-time battles. In combat, players control Cookie characters directly, using movement, attacks, role-based abilities, and Spell Cards to pressure opponents, support teammates, and swing the momentum of each match. Set in Platter City, a vibrant urban-fantasy world built around the Oven Crown Cup tournament, the game combines fast action with team strategy in a new style of CookieRun experience. More than 3 million players pre-registered to play CookieRun: OvenSmash ahead of today’s launch.
Key features of CookieRun: OvenSmash include:
- Six game modes, including Castle Crasher (3v3 team battle), Wild Royale (battle royale), Smash Fight (death match), and more, encourage players to adapt their team or solo strategy.
- Fast-paced matches averaging around three minutes, designed for quick rounds of competitive play.
- Distinct Cookie roles, including Tank, Bruiser, Assassin, Marksman, Mage, Bomber, Controller, and Support, allow players to build teams around different battle styles.
- Spell Cards such as Sticky Trap and Dragon Summoner add tactical effects during battle, giving players new ways to disrupt opponents, create openings, and shift momentum mid-match.
- A new urban-fantasy setting in Platter City, where players can explore, visit shops, and interact in a shared social space outside of battle.
- Character collection and costume customization that let players expand and personalize their roster.
CookieRun: Braverse, “A Game of Truth and Deceit”: Launching tomorrow, “A Game of Truth and Deceit” is the latest booster set for CookieRun: Braverse, Devsisters’ tabletop trading card game inspired by the CookieRun universe. In Braverse, players build custom decks, play Cookie and support cards, and battle head-to-head using strategy, timing, and card combinations to outmaneuver their opponent. A core part of the game is its five-color system, where each color represents a different tactical style, from direct offense and recovery to control, disruption, and resource-based play. The new expansion introduces 243 regular cards and 61 hidden cards, along with new mechanics, themes, and character variants that expand those strategies and open up new ways to build decks and approach each match.
Key Features of “A Game of Truth” and Deceit include:
- The Extra Card mechanic lets players place certain cards onto Cookies already in play or bring them in ready for immediate use, opening the door to stronger follow-up plays, more board pressure, and new comeback opportunities.
- Two new set themes, Realm of Apathy and Land of Fire & Ruin, introduce Legendary Cookies and mighty Beasts, giving players new card combinations and more high-impact ways to play.
- The Extra Deck system gives players a separate pool of cards to build around, adding another layer of planning before a match and more options during play. Players can use the Extra Deck to access stronger follow-up plays and respond to changing board states.
- Expanded support across Braverse’s five-color system, with new cards that deepen each color’s distinct playstyle and give players more ways to build around offense, recovery, control, disruption, and resource-based strategies.
- Shadow Milk Cookie, one of CookieRun: Kingdom’s most popular characters, appears as variants across all five colors, giving players different versions of the same character that work in different deck styles.
CookieRun: OvenSmash is available for free now on the App Store and Google Play Store, while “A Game of Truth and Deceit“, the latest expansion for CookieRun: Braverse, arrives March 27 at participating hobby retailers and game stores.
