Organized Play, From Local Store to World Stage

Major changes are coming to Riftbound’s Organized Play program in 2027. The revamped Riftbound Organized Play ecosystem is built to take players from local game stores all the way to the World Championships Stage, with more ways to play the TCG at every level.

  • Casual players can look forward to the Nexus Cup program’s arrival in 2027. The Nexus Cup program is a monthly tournament held at local game stores and is not tied to Riftbound’s competitive circuit. Meet new players, try new decks, and celebrate each set with fellow Riftbound players in the community.
  • Summoner Skirmishes are becoming the Riftbound Challenge Series. Built for experienced players looking for tough opponents, the Riftbound Challenge Series is the first rung of the Riftbound Organized Play competitive ladder. Defeat skilled opponents at select local game stores in the Riftbound Challenge Series for the opportunity to compete on Riftbound’s largest stages.
  • Regional Qualifiers are becoming Riftbound Regionals. Expect more Riftbound Regionals around the world in 2027.
  • Regional Championships are becoming Riftbound Continentals. Riftbound Continentals are the cornerstone event of each set, with a three-day marquee event in four destinations around the world each year.
  • The Riftbound World Championship caps the season, crowning a World Champion from the year’s best competitors. More information about Riftbound’s first World Championship event will be shared at a later date.
