Patch 2.0 brings new cutscenes and expanded language support as the game earns two Gamescom Awards 2026 nominations
COLOGNE — 25 August 2026 — Pearl Abyss today unveiled the trailer for Crimson Desert Enhanced alongside the game’s first discount across all platforms at Opening Night Live in Cologne, Germany.

The one-minute trailer highlights what’s new in Crimson Desert Enhanced: new cutscenes and dialogue that strengthen the story’s narrative flow, creating a more cohesive experience for players looking to be immersed in the world of Pywel.
The update also broadens the game’s global reach with five new voiceover languages — French, German, Spanish, Japanese, and Portuguese (Brazilian) — along with Arabic subtitles and UI, letting fans around the world experience the characters’ dialogue and story more vividly than ever.
To mark the launch of this version 2.0 update of the game, Crimson Desert is on sale across every digital platform for the first time since release. Through September 9, players can purchase the game at 20% off on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Apple Mac, and the Epic Games Store. Players who already own Crimson Desert can enjoy the Enhanced version as a free update.
Two Gamescom Awards 2026 Nominations
The announcement comes as Crimson Desert earns nominations in two categories at the Gamescom Awards 2026 — Most Epic and Best PC Game. The Gamescom Awards honor the finest titles exhibited at gamescom, the world’s largest game show. Best PC Game recognizes outstanding polish and player experience on PC, while Most Epic celebrates games that leave a lasting impression through grand narrative and intense gameplay.
Playable at gamescom with Samsung
Pearl Abyss will be on the show floor at gamescom from August 26 to 30 in partnership with Samsung Electronics, offering hands-on demos of Crimson Desert. Visitors can find the booth in Hall 09.1, Stand B020–C029, where attendees will experience the world of Pywel on Samsung’s latest gaming monitor hardware.
