CHICAGO – August 16, 2012 – Raved, in partnership with BIN 36 and Time Out Chicago, announced today a reminder for Chicago residents and foodies that there are only two days left to participate in the “Real Men Drink Pink” breast cancer awareness campaign.  Starting last Friday, August 10, and wrapping up tomorrow, Friday, August 17, Chicago’s top restaurants have joined together in featuring specially-priced $10 rosé glass pours on their beverage menus to benefit Bright Pink, the only national breast cancer organization focusing on the prevention and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer in young women while providing support for high risk individuals.

Since kicking off on August 10, the following restaurants have featured $10 rosé glass pours on their menus in honor of Real Men Drink Pink: avec, BIN 36 (featuring a signature BIN 36 rosé flight), Boka, Frontera, Naha, NoMI, Publican, Rockit, Sunda, Telegraph, Topalobampo, and Webster’s Wine Bar. All Real Men Drink Pink rosé product will be generously donated by distribution partners, with 100 percent of all proceeds benefiting the Bright Pink organization.

In addition to the support of Chicago’s top restaurants, Real Men Drink Pink is also backed by some of the city’s leading Real Men, including: Chef Rick Bayless, WLS Radio Host Roe Conn, CEO and Founder of Rockit Ranch Productions Billy Dec, ABC 7’s “Hungry Hound” Steve Dolinsky, BIN 36 Wine Director Brian Duncan, Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Chicago Bears Kicker Robbie Gould, Time Out Chicago Group Publisher Randy Hano, Chef Paul Kahan, One Off Hospitality Partner/Owner Donnie Madia, Check Please! Owner David Manilow, Naha Owner Michael Nahabedian, and Media Personality Richard Roeper. Profiles and exclusive photos of the Real Men showcasing their support for the campaign will be available on BIN 36’s social media pages.

Through the use of the Raved app – a free new app for iPhone, iPod touch and Android devices, Real Men Drink Pink has gone mobile. Raved is all about helping friends discover, save, and share great places together so they can better explore the world around them. For every guest who downloads the Raved app, and raves about their Real Men Drink Pink destination, and posts a picture and/or Tip about their experience via the App, Raved will donate $1 to the campaign. Users will also be able to use Raved to find information about all the participating restaurants, explore featured lists from many of Chicago’s Real Men with their favorite places as well as keep up with how much money the campaign has raised throughout the week.  Users can download the app on the App Store or on Google Play.
