Kickstarter backers will be refunded and invited to community playtests as development on the flat-screen co-op game continues
AUSTIN, TEXAS – Aug. 20, 2026 – FarBridge announced today that it has secured funding from fellow Austin-based independent game studio Enduring Games to complete Job Simulator: Human Relations‘ initial development phase and bring the game to Steam. The game’s Kickstarter campaign has been canceled, and backers will be refunded.
The funding comes shortly after Job Simulator: Human Relations’ reveal and Kickstarter campaign, where FarBridge sought to raise $150,000 USD for its development. Enduring Games recognized the game’s potential and saw an opportunity to invest in the project’s success directly.
Development on Job Simulator: Human Relations will continue, along with the playtesting, feedback sessions, and community involvement FarBridge planned as part of the campaign. The game is currently targeting an early 2028 launch on Steam.
“We went to Kickstarter because we wanted players involved early and because we needed help funding the next stage of development,” said Patrick Curry, founder and CEO of FarBridge. “The response we got did both. It brought a community around Human Relations and put our work in front of Enduring Games, who love what we are building and believe in our vision. We get to keep making the game, and just as importantly, we still get to make it with players involved.”
“This is a fun opportunity for independent studios to support each other and the games and teams we believe in,” said Adam Creighton, founder and CEO of Enduring Games. “The FarBridge team is a key part of the Austin game development scene, and when we saw what they were building with Human Relations, we wanted to support it in a meaningful way. We respect this team, we are excited about the game, and getting to focus our next planned investment from Enduring Games toward an independent Austin studio makes it even more special.”
Developed by FarBridge in collaboration with Owlchemy Labs, the studio behind the original Job Simulator, Job Simulator: Human Relations is an officially licensed flat-screen co-op physics comedy game for PC. Up to four players work together to complete office tasks, manage limited resources, and survive workplace disasters before the work week falls apart.
FarBridge and Owlchemy Labs will host a community livestream at a later date to discuss the investment, answer community questions, and share what comes next for Job Simulator: Human Relations. Stay tuned to Owlchemy Labs’ social channels for timing and additional details.
