Over 600 companies from 51 countries represented at Game Connection America 2013
SAN FRANCISCO—March 25, 2013—Game Connection today announced the start of Game Connection America 2013 at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel in San Francisco. Running through Wednesday March 27, Game Connection is giving opportunities for companies in all sectors of the industry including Microsoft, Sony, Chillingo, DeNA, Nintendo, and many more, to connect in a B2B setting. This is made possible in part by the Meeting Application, which allows all – attendees from publishers, developers, to press – to contact any other attendee directly. Out of the 638 companies represented, over 200 companies are exhibiting this year.
“We would like to extend a warm welcome to all attendees from all over the world to Game Connection America,” said Pierre Carde, CEO of Game Connection. “It is our pleasure to bring what we offered in Europe to North America once more and to see the North American games industry embrace and benefit from our event in this way is very encouraging.”
The show kicks off with the [a]list Summit, including a number of panels focused on games marketing topics such as community management, eSports, digital engagement, and monetization. Today’s keynote will be given by James McTeigue, director of the Hollywood film V for Vendetta, and focus on the power of games to engage with audiences and how games influence films and filmmakers.
