System Combines 3D Gesture Tracking and Viewer Analytics into Single Product

BRUSSELS – January 30, 2012 – SoftKinetic today announced the development of a revolutionary digital signage solution that combines the Intel® AIM Suite, an anonymous viewer analytics technology providing a powerful data collection and audience measurement tool, with SoftKinetic’s DepthSense™ 3D camera and iisu™ 3D gesture recognition middleware. With this solution retailers and advertisers get the opportunity to engage consumers through body –controlled advertisements while measuring audience behavior and viewer demographics.

The solution will be showcased with partners Philips MMD and NEC at the Integrated Systems Europe show (ISE) starting January 31. On the Philips stand (booth #10N135), visitors will get the chance to interact with the Yahoo! ‘Trail of Tiles’ interactive wall (developed by Brandfirst) and on the NEC stand (booth #4R24), they can control the Bally’s Total Fitness Results Centre (developed by Helios Interactive and Manifest Digital).

“SoftKinetic’s vision is to transform the way people interact with technology and through the use of our 3D camera solution, we can provide a much more fun, engaging and memorable brand engagement,” said Eric Krzeslo, chief innovation officer at SoftKinetic. “By adding Intel® AIM Suite, we are not only providing a more enjoyable experience, but also providing crucial data for the advertisers and the ability to track return on investment with greater accuracy.”

“Intel’s innovative retail solutions are designed to meet the changing needs of tomorrow’s marketplace by promoting brand interaction and delivering a more personalized and enjoyable advertising experience,” said Haroon F. Mirza, Director of Business Development, Anonymous Viewer Analytics, Intel Corporation. “The interactive demos at ISE give a glimpse of how 3D camera based technology will shape the future of digital signage.”
