Shoes for walking and running in VR now fully integrated with Doom3Quest
VIENNA and SAN FRANCISCO – Feb 2, 2021 – Cybershoes today announced the launch of an Indiegogo campaign, allowing VR enthusiasts around the world the chance to pre-order the first Oculus Quest accessory for walking and running in VR. The Cybershoes team has also announced full integration with Doom3Quest, the only fully wireless implementation of the Doom 3 single player campaign in standalone VR. This mod is built by Team Beef, and developed natively for Oculus Quest and Quest 2.
The launch of the Indiegogo campaign follows the conclusion of a successful Kickstarter campaign for its wireless Oculus Quest version. This campaign met its goal of $30,000 in one day, and concluded with 470 backers pledging $98,420 – 328% of the initial funding goal. VR users interested in getting feet-on with their own Cybershoes who did not back the project on Kickstarter can now pre-order units via the Indiegogo campaign at https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/cybershoes-for-oculus-quest/.

Connecting wirelessly via the CyQuest Bluetooth receiver, Cybershoes for Quest translates native body motion into in-game locomotion. This helps address one of the biggest complaints about VR, motion sickness, while increasing immersion, physical activity, and enjoyment. With natively integrated games, like Arizona Sunshine in partnership with Vertigo Games, Journey of the Gods, and now Doom3Quest, setup is as simple as putting on Cybershoes, starting up the headset, and selecting the in-game Cybershoes locomotion option.
