Most notably, the title of the game will be changing from Pokémon Masters to Pokémon Masters EX in a future update to signify how much the game has changed and evolved since its release.

FRISCO, Texas – August 11, 2020 – Today Risk of Rain 2 officially releases out of Steam’s Early Access program, Hopoo Games and Gearbox Publishing announced. In celebration of the launch, Steam users can purchase Risk of Rain 2 for the discounted price of $15.99 from today until August 18. On August 19, Risk of Rain 2 will be priced at $24.99.
Content update also introduces gameplay updates and improvements
TOKYO—July 31, 2020—DeNA Co., Ltd., in partnership with The Pokémon Company, has announced various Summer-themed content updates for Pokémon Masters. Players will be able to add Summer versions of Steven & Alolan Sandslash and Lyra & Jigglypuff to their teams via the sync pair spotlight scout, available now until August 16 at 10:59PM Pacific time. The sync pair of Steven & Alolan Sandslash can unleash Ice-type attacks like Icicle Spear and Icicle Crash, while Lyra & Jigglypuff can deploy Fairy-type moves like Dazzling Gleam, which damages all opponents at once.

FRISCO, Texas – July 21, 2020 – Risk of Rain 2 will complete its Steam Early Access and officially launch on August 11, Gearbox Publishing and Hopoo Games announced today. Dubbed the Launch Update, Risk of Rain 2 will introduce a haul of new content including story cutscenes, a new Survivor, Final Stage, Final Boss, Server Browser and more. TOKYO—July 10, 2020—DeNA Co., Ltd., in partnership with The Pokémon Company, has announced that the Team Rocket trio of Jessie, James, and Meowth has been added to a story event titled “Double Trouble” in Pokémon Masters. In this in-game event, available from now until September 16 at 10:59PM Pacific time for those that have completed Chapter 1 of the Main Story, players will be able join Team Rocket as they go on a search for a shiny version of the Mythical Pokemon Celebi. Players that complete this in-game event will be able to add the Poison-type sync pair of Jessie & Arbok to their teams.

TOKYO—June 11, 2020—DeNA Co., Ltd., in partnership with The Pokémon Company, has announced the new Legendary Arena game mode in Pokémon Masters, where players battle against an extremely powerful Legendary Pokémon using only a limited number of sync pairs. While HP damage to the opponent carries over after each battle, opponents in the Legendary Arena have an exceptionally high HP, requiring players to carefully strategize on how to take down their powerful foe.

Players can then pair their partner Pokémon with the game’s Main Character and battle alongside one another. Pokémon Masters, a real-time battling and strategy game, can be downloaded on compatible iOS and Android devices.
